Rising Ninth Grade Registration
Science Hill High School will soon be posting a video on the school website with important information for your rising ninth-grade student. The video will include information on class offerings, graduation requirements, the Advanced Placement (AP) program, and other related topics.
All rising ninth graders must attend a 4-year plan meeting. Covid-19 protocols for these meetings will include physical distancing, required masks, and hand sanitizing stations. During this meeting, you, your child, and an advisor will discuss requirements for the next 4 years of high school and register for 9th grade classes. Please review the Program of Studies prior to your meeting. Beginning March 5th, you may schedule a 4-year plan appointment by going to: https://calendly.com/sh4yearplan.
Registration Grades 9-11
Attention students in grades 9-11: the registration portal is now open for you to select your classes for next year. If you have not received your registration packet, please stop by the main office as soon as possible. The registration portal will close at 3pm on March 5th.
Summer School Registration

Looking for some last minute preparation for the ACT? Come meet with the ACT Prep Club Monday March 1 from 3 to 4 pm in room 415. We are hosting a study session with practice time and question/answers.

Boys Volleyball will have open gym on March 3rd and 4th from 3-5 for anyone interested in trying out for the team. Tryouts will be March 15th and 16th from 3-5. 500 general admission tickets will be sold at the door for Sevier County vs. Science Hill (Boys) on . Doors will open at & tickets are $7. Season Ticket Holders can still use their reserved seats with the purchase of a TSSAA ticket.
Topper Summit/Work Based learning applications are due this Fri., March 5, to Mrs. Mottern in room 914 in CTE building. Those applications may be picked up from your counselor, the CTE main office, or Mrs. Mottern.

Career in Education
SHHS Students, have you considered a career in education? Want to see if being a teacher, school counselor, speech-language pathologist, school librarian, or school administrator might be a good fit for you? Then consider registering for Fundamentals in Education! This CTE course will give you insights into the history of education, careers in education, and the influence of human development on learning. You will also have some hands-on learning experiences to see if teaching, counseling, or another job in education might be a path for you. Want more information? Remote/Hybrid Students Need a Book?
The Science Hill library has a request form for books and calculators on the library webpage. Here is the link: https://sites.google.com/jcschools.org/shhslibrary/home
The materials will be placed in the main office, and you will receive a phone call or email when the items are ready for pick up. Books will have a 2-week limit, and the due date will be stamped inside the back cover. Calculators will be renewed for you each week. Please send an email to email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org to renew books, should you need them longer.
