The Special Education Department's goal is to identify students who meet the federal and state criteria as a student with a disability requiring special education and to provide services that empower them to become active members of society based on their individual strengths and abilities. We are committed to providing a caring community of dedicated staff and involved parents that meets the diverse academic, emotional, and social needs of all of our students in a respectful and positive environment.

 

Special Education Record Request Procedures

Fax requests to (423) 218-4967 or email requests to richardsond@jcschools.org.

Public School Systems: Please fax or scan and email requests on your school's letterhead.

Private School Systems: Please fax or scan and email requests on your school's letterhead. Release must be signed by parent/legal guardian - or - student (if 18 years of age or older).

Outside Agencies: Please fax or scan and email requests on your agency's letterhead. Release must be singed by parent/legal guardian - or - student (if 18 years of age or older).

Individuals: You may call our office at (423) 434-5216 to request records. Records must be picked up at our office. Please bring a picture ID with you. Parents/legal guardians may pick up records for students under 18 years of age. Students 18 years of age and older must pick up their records.
